GoRide Instant, a Gojek’s Effort to Unravel the Congestion

GoRide Instant is an innovation that Gojek has made to make it easier for drivers and customers, as well as an effort to unravel the congestion.

The online motorcycle taxi service company, Gojek launched the GoRide Instant service in mid-October at Transit Plaza Lebak Bulus. This service is a form of innovation that Gojek has made to make it easier for drivers and customers, as well as an effort to unravel the congestion that often occurs at pickup points.

VP Transport Marketing Gojek, Monita Moerdani said that this service is a form of structuring an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) by synergizing ojol with public transportation. "Hopefully with the GoRide Instant no need to wait long, avoid congestion. The customer side wants to get a fast ride, the driver does not have to wait," Monita said at Transit Plaza Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta, Tuesday (10/15/2019).

On the same occasion, Director of PT MRT Jakarta, William Sabandar, welcomed the new feature. "The availability of this transit area will reduce the accumulation of online motorcycle taxis and passengers waiting at almost every entrance of MRT Jakarta station. Here, passengers alight from Lebak Bulus Station, walk to the Transit Plaza, and can immediately continue their trip with an online motorcycle taxi so that passengers do not have to wait at the station entrance, "William said.

Through GoRide Instant feature, Gojek drivers can connect with customers through a special code owned by the customer. Drivers only need to activate the status and order settings of GoRide Instant service. After that, customers will approach the driver who is waiting in the special GoRide Instant queue. Drivers can start executing orders by requesting an OTP code from the customer. GoRide Instant is available at several points, one of them is at Lebak Bulus MRT station in South Jakarta.
