Recreation and exercise in one place? Bored with parks in Jakarta? If so, you have to visit Bogor City this weekend and try the new park around Bogor Palace and Bogor Botanical Gardens, named Taman Sempur Bogor.You can easily visit this park. From Jakarta, you just have to going by commuter line, and take public transportation to Sempur. Drop at Palace side after Bogor Botanical Gardens bridge.
From above the road, you will see any interesting spots at Taman Sempur Bogor. Start from the left side, on river side, there is kids playground. At this area, kids there is a castle completed with various ride, such as slides swings, to snakes and ladders court themed. Parents can monitoring their kids while playing from gazebos around the playground.
This playground also used by teens to take selfies. The unique castle with clean Ciliwung River background make it so Instagramable.
Next to kids playground, there is skatepark completed with its obstacles. In the afternoon, this park will filled by teens who want to skateboarding. If you also want to try, you can directly play or join to local community.
Close to skatepark, there are wall climbing and basket court, you can use this court anytime. For wall climbing, of course you have to completed yourself of the equipments.
Most of visitors came here just want to enjoy the afternoon or exercise. On the east side of Taman Sempur, there is interesting thematic park, named Taman Ekspresi. This built by Bogor Government park is used for art communities who want to show their works.
One of most interesting routine events at this park is Cinema Taman. Every month, film communities, both from Bogor or other cities, will playing their movies here.
