An international book fair back to Indonesia this year. Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF)will be held on 6-10 September 2017 at Assembly Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This annual event held by Ikatan Penerbit Indonesia (IKAPI).
This year 20 countries targeted to participated on IIBF. 15 countries has been confirmed attending this fair, they are Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, German, France, Netherlands, Bosnia, India, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
This festival is not just will be a common book fair, but also become a mediator between publihers from participant countries. This is the first ever program that held in a book fair. This Business Matchmaking aim to promoting and copyright transaction between countries.
Other interesting programs on this fair are book discussion, script exchange, literacy community festival, book launching, and talkshow with famous authors, such as Pidi Baiq, Sapardi Djoko Darmono, Wahyu Aditya, Ernest Prakarsa, Maman Suherman, Faza Meonk, Lala Bohang and many more.
This year, IIBF supported by Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (Bekraf), because publishing industries considered will have big potential to bring forward creative industry in Indonesia.
