A Free Photography School Based on Community

Do you love photography and are also a morning person as well? What a coincidence!
These two things are the main requirements to join Kelas Pagi Jakarta, a photography school based in the community which is started at 6.00 a.m. – 18.00 p.m. This photography school does not put any tuition fee since they understand that not every person who likes this field have an abundant resource. Kelas Pagi Jakarta was founded in 2006 and now (2015) already has nine generations.

This is a class of sharing, so both the trainer and participant have the chance to get new knowledge. They don’t get picky of the participants so everyone can join this class, from college students, entrepreneurs, and employees, to jobseekers. The learning period takes a year with two times per week class at Third Eye Studio, Cipete.

At first, the Kelas Pagi Founder, Anton Ismail, only taught his students on his own. And then from time to time, the number of tutors keeps increasing. The tutor's background is not only from the photography industry, but also in film, advertising, arts, and many more. With so many backgrounds of tutors, the participant can broaden their knowledge about various things related to photography. At the end of the class period, the participant should make an exhibition with a theme chosen together. This exhibition is the place for Kelas Pagi Jakarta’s students to show off their potential.
