In the modern era like now, someone indicted to have foreign speech ability. But, learning foreign language is not easy. You have to speak with other language which is not your daily language. But, that wouldn't inhibit these people to learning foreign language.
To keep the ability of speaking foreign language, there is a community called Polyglot. This community widely spread to several cities in Indonesia. All member definitely can speak foreign language.
Formed since 2012, Polyglot has some activities, such language exchange, meeting activities per language that coordinated by each language coordinator. Place and time handled over each language coordinator.
First, they will mark the table with name of the language, for example Italian or Spanish table. When members talking on their desk, like Spanish table, they should speak Spanish. This considered helpful for members to learn on exchange language, because they will speak 15 minutes on German table, then 15 minutes on Spanish table, and 15 minutes on Mandarin table.
This community also giving some material about language and culture on various events, be translator (either speaking or writing), received requests to be EO (Event Organizer) and LO (Liaison Officer) on international events, to discussion.
Members background who joined in Polyglot are various, starting from high school students to ministry employees. Many of them are also from other countries who joined through the forum.
It's easy if you are about to join. You just have to come in every Polyglot's meeting. But, it would be better if you can speak at least a little foreign language.
