Had a vacuum for five years, Joyland Festival 2019 will be held again. The music festival with a picnic concept in the middle of the city park will be held for two days, on 7 and 8 December 2019 at Panahan Square in Senayan, Central Jakarta.
Different from previous years, Joyland 2019 will not only feature musical performances, but also other performances such as stand up comedy, film screenings, to storytelling. The festival also provides a kid-friendly area and workshops.
"Through Joyland Festival 2019, we want to create a unique experience for Jakarta. We want people to gather and celebrate art with an exciting level. So, make sure to come and take part," said Ferry Ferry Darmawan, Joyland Festival Program Director, in Kemang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/12/2019).
A line of well-known local musicians will entertain the audience at this event, including Eva Celia, White Shoes and the Couples Company, Ardhito Pramono, Endah N Rhesa, The Trees & The Wild, Sir Dandy, Greenhouse Effect, Naive, The Adams, Barasuara, and many more. In addition to local musicians, Joyland 2019 will also feature foreign musicians, including Washed Out, Yves Tumor, Tops, Frankie Cosmos, Hatchie, and Anna of the North.
As for the stand up comedy, Soleh Solihun will curate the comics to appear on a special stage named Shrooms Garden. Not only famous comics, Joyland 2019 also invites beginner comics.
Anggun Priambodo, an artist and filmmaker, also take part in the festival. He will curate short films to be aired on Cinerillaz with a maximum duration of 15 minutes. A total of 18 films that will be screened are the best films that will entertain the audience.
