Admire The Beauty Of Artworks At The National Gallery

The National Gallery presents exhibitions of various types of contemporary, modern and traditional art works.

Who says going to a museum is boring? The reality is not always like that, really. Maybe, because you have never tried visiting the National Gallery Museum. Now, this place which is often called GalNas has become a favorite location for Instagrammers. It is not uncommon for visitors to deliberately dress up when they come here in order to get maximum photos.

The National Gallery presents an impressive exhibition of the nation's children's art. There are two types of exhibitions in this museum, namely permanent and temporary exhibitions. For permanent exhibitions, works of art will be displayed onwards at GalNas. Meanwhile, for temporary exhibitions, the themes of the works displayed will change.

Even though the building looks old from the outside, that is where the specialty of the National Gallery lies. This building consists of three buildings, namely Buildings A, B and C. These three buildings are used to exhibit works of modern and contemporary art. Each building contains exhibitions featuring antique and authentic works of art. You can find various types of works of art, such as paintings, sculptures, graphics, photography, and new media art of various styles here.

There are at least 1,700 collections of work by proud Indonesian artists on display at the National Gallery. The names of great artists, such as Raden Saleh, Basoeki Abdullah, Affandi S., Hendra Gunawan, and Sudjojono are just a few of the many artists whose works have been displayed at GalNas. There are also works from foreign artists who enliven the gallery located opposite Gambir Station.

The National Gallery is a place to enjoy the beauty of works of art, while preserving them. This place is open to the general public. Visitors will also not be charged anything to visit here. However, there are several rules that you must obey here, such as not using flashes and monopods or tripods to take photos, and not making noise.
