Along with the development of electric vehicles, the State Electricity Company (PLN) is now providing Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU). So, where are the SPKLUs? In Jakarta, owner of electric car can charging at PLN Bulungan office with normal power and at PLN Distribusi Jakarta Raya (Disjaya) office with 3 unit, 150 kW (kilo Watt) ultra fast charging, 50 kW fast charging, and 25 kW normal charging.
In addition to PLN offices, you can also find SPKLU at Senayan City shopping center. Yes, Senayan City become the first mall to be equipped with electric vehicle energy charging facilities with a SPKLU type of 25 kilo Watt (kW) normal charging.
Ultra fast charging can charge an electric car from 0 to full in just 15 to 20 minutes. The fast charging can charge the car from 0 to full within 30 to 40 minutes. While for normal charging can charge a car from 0 to full in 2.5 to 3 hours.
For the rates, PLN is currently freeing the rate of charging electric vehicles in all SPKLUs in Jakarta until December to encourage public interest in using electric vehicles.
