This Is How You Keep Your Food Healthy In The Refrigerator

You probably refrigerate certain foods in the refrigerator. It can be the best place to keep food fresh and longer. However, you should consider how long foods can be stored, know the time limit for foods will help keep them from spoiling or becoming dangerous to eat.

1. Meat
Published by Huffington Post, some meat can last longer in the freezer. Depending on the type of meat, including uncooked chicken lasts until 9 months, while uncooked beef lasts longer, up to 12 months. Make sure your refrigerator running efficiently because if the freezer is not cold enough, it will spoil your food.
 
2. Egg
Some people store their eggs in a refrigerator to prevent Salmonella. According to FDA (Food and Drug Administration), uncooked eggs last for 4 weeks at a temperature of 2 - 8°C.

3. Vegetables
The ideal place where vegetables should be is on the bottom shelf, a vegetable drawer. Perfect temperature and humidity help to keep vegetables fresh up. You can use a container or sealed plastic bag to keep vegetables fresh. You can also put some paper towels, and food saver sheets to keep vegetables fresh longer up to 1 week.
 
4. Milk
The shelf life of milk depends on the type of milk, for example, unopened pasteurized milk lasts for 1 week, while unopened UHT (Ultra High Temperature) milk lasts for 10 months.

5. Cheese
Cheese actually has a longer shelf life than other fermented foods. Common semi-hard and hard cheeses including cheddar or Edam last for 4 months or 8 months in the freezer. But, some soft cheeses, including mozzarella or feta only last for 3 weeks. You can use aluminum foil to keep cheese fresh and mold-free, especially for soft cheeses.
