If you are tired of going to mall to spend your weekend, there is an exciting alternative you can choose from, visiting Benyamin Sueb Park. The new museum was officially opened in September 2018 by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in tJatinegara, East Jakarta. Previously this place was the former Kodim Jatinegara which has now been transformed into the first Betawi museum in Jakarta.
According to Anies, the Benyamin Sueb Park stores Benjamin Sueb’s collections and memorabilia, he is well-known as a Betawi native artist. The collection was previously stored by his family. Anies hopes that at this museum, people can learn more about Betawi culture and this original culture of Jakarta will be increasingly known. One of Benjamin Sueb's sons, Biem Triani Sueb, also appreciated and thanked all those who have realized the construction of Benjamin Sueb Park.
At the museum itself people will not only find photos and paintings of Benjamin, but also clothes, movie posters, and award trophies that the legendary Betawi artist had won. At the back of the museum, there are also a playground and mosque with gigi balang, Betawi typical ornaments.

The museum itself is open to the public with concept anyone can fill it, as long as it themed art and culture. Although it is the center of Betawi culture, Benyamin Sueb Park can be used for other cultural activities.
