The panic caused by the Coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak not only occurred in the community, but also in some industrial sectors, including world film industry. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Coronavirus outbreak has made world's box office coffers shrink to 5 billion US dollar. Not to mention, several giant film studios decided to postpone the screening of most awaited films due to Coronavirus. What are those films?
1. No Time To Die
Fans of James Bond films have to be patient again. Because the latest film James Bond 007: No Time To Die which was supposed to be released in April, certainly postponed until November 2020. This announcement was made by the official Instagram account @007, on Thursday (5/3/2020).
The upload contains the official movie poster No Time To Die with a caption, “MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020. The film will be released in the U.K. on November 12, 2020 with worldwide release dates to follow, including the US launch on November 25, 2020.
No Time To Die is James Bond 007's 25th film, as well as Daniel Craig's last film as a British spy agent. Besides Craig, the film also featured Oscar-winning actor, Rami Malek.
2. A Quiet Place Part 2
The news of the postponement of A Quiet Place Part 2 release schedule was announced directly by the director, John Krasinski, through his Instagram account @johnkrasinski, on Friday (3/13/2020).

"To all our A Quiet Place fans. One of the things i'm most proud of is that people have said our movie is one you have to see all together. Well due to the ever-changing circumstances of what's going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the right time to do that. As insanely excited as we are for all of you to see this movie, i'm gonna wait to release the film til we CAN all see it together,” the actor and filmmaker said on his post.
In the announcement, Krasinski has not confirmed when the film will be released. However, he made sure there will be further information.
3. Fast & Furious 9 (F9)
Fast and Furious 9 delayed the movie for almost a year. Initially, the film will be released May 2020 to 2April 2021. Through the official Instagram account @thefastsaga, on Friday (3/13/2020), Fast & Furious 9 also announced the delay and release the newest schedule.

“To our family of Fast Fans everywhere. We feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That's why it's especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It's become clear that it won't be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May. We are moving the global release date to April 2021 with North America opening on April 2,” wrote @thefastsaga.
The account also added, “While we know there is disappoinment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration.”
4. Mulan
Mulan film director, Niki Caro announced the postponement of Mulan screening through her personal Instagram account @nikicaro, on Friday (3/13/2020). Caro uploaded a giant billboard with a Mulan poster attached on the road. Accompanying the photo, she wrote a caption containing the announcement of Mulan postponement.

“Dear Mulan Fans, making this film has been one of the most satisfying and exhilarating experiences of my entire career. And I’ve been so fortunate to be on this journey with some of the best cast and crew in the business – people who truly embody the attributes of Loyal, Brave, and True.
Niki then explained, she and the team were very sad and empathetic to the world that was struggling against the Coronavirus outbreak. “But given the current ever-shifting circumstances we are all experiencing, unfortunately, we have to postpone the worldwide release of Mulan for now. Our hearts are with everyone the world over who is affected by this virus, and we hope that Mulan’s fighting spirit will continue to inspire those who are working so hard to keep us all safe,” said Niki Caro.
The New Zealand-born director also thanked enthusiastic fans and said she couldn't wait for Mulan's new release schedule. “I can’t wait for the day where we will all get to experience this tale of a girl warrior who became a legend together.”
5. KKN Di Desa Penari
Not only Hollywood films, Indonesian films were forced to postpone the screening schedule. One of them is KKN Di Desa Penari which was previously scheduled for release on 19 March 2020.
