Tips to Keep You Safe at Supermarket during COVID-19 Outbreak

Feel safe and comfortable while shopping in regards to COVID-19 outbreak.

Since WHO has declared COVID-19 as global pandemic, some people decided to make their own food to keep their bodies healthy to avoid risk of transmission COVID-19 in all different levels. No matter how bad COVID-19 curve, if you need to leave home to buy groceries, follow these steps to minimise your risk of catching COVID-19 on your routine supermarket trips.
  1. Keeping your body temperature within a safe degree before decided to go shopping.
  2. Come at non-peak hours, for example in the morning while less visitors come.
  3. Do not bring children under 5-year old, elderly over 50-year old, and pregnant women shopping.
  4. Prepare grocery list to ensure you do not spend much time strolling around supermarket to find all you need.
  5. Bring your own reusable shopping bags as per July 1, disposable plastic bags are prohibited in Jakarta according to Governor Regulation No. 142 Year 2019.
  6. Wearing mask before leaving your home and while shopping.
  7. Clean handle of basket or trolley with antiseptic wet tissue.
  8. Using hand sanitizer after touch any item or surface while shopping. If possible, washing hands with soap for 20 seconds.
  9. Not touch your face (eyes, nose, and mouth) before using hand sanitizer or washing hands.
  10. Always keeping safe distance min. 1 meter with other visitors.
  11. Separating ready-to-eat food and raw meat.
  12. Using non-cash payments.
