All You Need to Know about New Normal in the Mall

The health protocol guidelines for mall visitors from Minister of Health.

As you know, since 15 June, shopping centers or malls in Jakarta have re-opened along with the enactment of the Transitional Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) or New Normal. However, this doesn’t mean that malls operating as usual, but with some health protocols that must be meet in order to maintain mutual security and safety.
 
Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto has issued Minister of Health Decree number HK.01.07 / MENKES / 382/2020 concerning Health Protocols for People in Public Places and Facilities which was released on 19 June 2020. The public places and facilities referred to in it including malls.

The health protocols applies to anyone involved or in public places and facilities such as malls. The health protocol guidelines for mall visitors including:
 
1. Visitors must ensure that themselves in good health before leaving the house. If you experience symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, and / or shortness of breath, try to stay at home, and consult to a health facility if it continues.
 
2. Always wear a face mask when traveling and while in shopping centers / malls / shops.
 
3. Maintain hand hygiene by frequently washing hands using soap and running water or hand sanitizer.
 
4. Avoid touching the face area such as eyes, nose and mouth.
 
5. Keep a minimum distance of one meter from other visitors.
 
6. If the shopping centers / malls / shops are in a congested condition and it is difficult to maintain social distancing, visitors are advised not to force themselves into it. However, if they have to, visitors are advised to use additional face shield that is used with a face mask.
 
Meanwhile, since re-opening in the new normal era, Central Park and Neo Soho Mall have implemented a 100% touchless system. Where visitors only need to place their palms on the sensor with a distance of 10 cm. The touchless system is available for:

In addition, the two malls in West Jakarta also cut their operating hours to Monday - Friday: 11.00 - 20.00 WIB, while Saturday & Sunday, and public holidays: 10:00 - 21.00 WIB.
 
Other procedures implemented by Central Park and Neo Soho Mall including:
- Use a face mask while in the mall area.
- Monitoring at entrances & exits arranged to prevent overcrowding in the mall.
- Check visitors' body temperature and keep a distance.
- Maximum body temperature of 37.3 ° C.
- Implementing physical distancing by keeping a distance of 1.5 meters & not crowding.
- Always maintain cleanliness using hand sanitizer.
