After holding his Bachelor degree, this 84 years old entrepreneur started his career in Jaya Group, a company owned by the Local Government of DKI Jakarta. He had worked in Jaya Group as director until the age of 65 years old.
While developing his career in property, he had reached many achievements and awards. His name has also been written in Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI) as the most award-winning entrepreneur in various fields. Besides a property entrepreneur in Jaya Group, Ciputra was also an entrepreneur in other property group such as Metropolitan Group who built Pondok Indah luxury residence and an independent city Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD). Ciputra also built his own property group named Ciputra Group.
Other than residence, Ciputra also built malls and recreation centers that can be found in many cities in Indonesia and even other countries such as Kamboja and Vietnam. For now, his success made him being on the 21st position on the list of 50 richest men in Indonesia based on Forbes in 2014. Although he has such position, Ciputra is also a philanthropist, which is a generous man and he owns some social foundations for helping each other.
Now, Ciputra also takes part on education world by establishing Ciputra University in Surabaya, East Java. Ciputra believes that education is the main key for our nation’s future. He has a target to inspire 4 millions of youngsters to be entrepreneurs on the next 25 years. Are you one of them?
