Due to COVID-19 pandemic and implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta and its satellite cities, government encourages people to stay at home to prevent spread of COVID-19 virus. While you cannot go to the store, here are the essential foods to stock up during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep you stay fit and healthy.

1. Eggs

To determine your protein needs while stay at home during this large-scale social restrictions, you can stock up at least 1kg eggs as one of best protein sources besides meats. This affordable protein source also easy to cook. Simply put your eggs in a bowl or other container and put them to room temperature.

2. Potatoes

Along with eggs, potatoes can also be stored for a long time. Potatoes are considered a starchy vegetable and healthy carb contains high fiber (in its skin), low calories, vitamins and minerals. You can cook various dishes with a simple potato as well as healthy alternative to rice. It can last up to 3 weeks as well as you put them to room temperature (dry place), no refrigerator.

3. Honey

Honey has abundance healthy benefits including boost your immune system to natural remedy to relieve cough and flu. It is highly recommended to put honey in refrigerator to make it last longer. You can put into warm water, hot tea or spread all over your toast, grilled banana, and fried chicken for more mouth-watering taste.
