Millions of lives at stake because every single one—baby born, children, adults or elderly—is at risk for getting COVID-19. Some people are more likely than others to become severely ill if they are exposed to the virus.

1. Asthma
People with asthma are more likely getting and spreading COVID-19 because the virus moves down your respiratory tract as quoted from boldsky. The virus also can lead to severe illness like pneumonia if they are exposed.

2. Cancer
As quoted from Alodokter, chemotherapy or white blood cell disorders is the most common cause of a weakened immune system in people getting cancer treatment. That is why people with cancer are more likely to get exposed by COVID-19. When immune system in your body uses to resists infection by viruses, people with compromised immune system can protect themselves of being exposed to the viruses including COVID-19.

3. Cardiovascular
People with coronary artery disease, hypertension, and stroke also have weak immune system. Hence, they have a higher risk of experiencing infections and severe symptoms. Quoted from official site of RSUP dr. Soeradji, viruses including COVID-19 can have a devastating effect on people with compromised immune system.

A weak immune system indicates mechanism to respond viruses or other foreign cells is poor. Hence, people with cardiovascular also fall into category of vulnerable and high risk group for getting and spreading COVID-19.
