A T-Shaped professional possesses one very deep technical expertise (represented by the vertical line of the T) paired with broad communication skills, empathy, and cross-disciplinary understanding (the horizontal line of the T). This career strategy has proven to be the most resilient against the threat of automation because it involves qualities that machines find difficult to replicate: creative synthesis between disciplines.
