The rainy season like now makes many people susceptible to flu. Bacteria and viruses breed more easily in the rainy season, which is why the spread of flu viruses, namely influenza A, B, and C, is faster. If you start experiencing flu symptoms such as fever, headache, or sore throat, immediately take the kitchen spices below which have been proven to be effective in getting rid of the flu effectively.

1. Garlic
Garlic contains the compound allicin which is rich in anti-oxidants. Whether consumed directly (raw) or mixed into dishes, such as soup or stew, a few cloves of garlic can fight serious colds.

2. Nutmeg
Nutmeg contains tryptophan compounds which can relieve flu symptoms, especially for children. The method is quite easy, by pounding the nutmeg until smooth, then dissolving it in a little water and placing it on your forehead. Nutmeg can also be mixed into cooking to provide a warm taste.

3. Ginger
There are several easy ways to process ginger as a kitchen spice that is effective in relieving flu. First, grate two pieces of fresh ginger until fine, add two glasses of water, boil until boiling, then drink. Second, add fresh ginger to the bath water. Use a thin cloth to wrap about a quarter of fresh ginger, tie it, and soak the cloth containing the ginger in the bath. It is highly recommended to use warm water.
