You may be familiar with this market. Located on Jalan Cisanggiri II, Pasar Santa has now changed its name to the Santa Modern Market. The outside look is no different from other traditional markets. For those who are the first time to come, maybe you will be confused to find where those popular snacks location are. It's not hard, they are on the first floor. Whereas the ground floor and basement are filled with groceries, clothing shops, and gold shops.

The difference seems clear as you climb the stairs to the first floor. The stalls are repainted and very creative and cool. What do you want to eat or drink? Coffee? Spicy food? Everything is here! Here are five snacks at Pasar Santa that you should try!

1. Kopi Selatan Jakarta
You can't miss one of the coffee shops in Pasar Santa. Es Kopi Susu here is named Es Kopaja (Rp. 17,000), yes it is one of the public transportations in Jakarta. Kopaja itself stands for Es Kopi Susu Selatan Jakarta with a light and creamy flavour. There is also Es Kopami (Rp. 18,000) which is a combination of coffee and Milo.

2. Waroeng Takwa

Who would have thought that a classy dish like Wagyu could appear from a small stall in Santa Market. Named Waroeng Takwa, here you can enjoy buttered rice with soft and juicy wagyu slices which are also the mainstay menu. For mozzarella fans, Waroeng Taqwa also serves buttered rice wagyu mozzarella. 

Even though the price is quite cheap, starting at Rp. 48,000, the butter rice is not kidding. The spices taste burst as soon as you eat it. Not only that, the rice is also completed with kyuri (typical Japanese cucumber) and almond flakes.

3. Combrang
For those who are curious about what kecombrang taste like, you can stop by here! Here you can taste the delicious kecombrang rice plus sunny side up, and a choice of chicken / dory / beef / beef tongue and various choices of sauces such as sambal matah / salted egg / cheese / curry. Most of the ingredients used by Combrang are local ingredients. The price is quite pocket friendly, starting at Rp. 40,000.

4. Pisang Kuy
Don't get wrong! This is not banana nugget like you ever ate. This one snack is made from whole banana fried in crispy flour. Interestingly, Pisang Kuy completed with super thick topping and chocolate lava in it. The toppings they have to offer are also varied, there are green tea, cheese, chocolate, blueberries, to sambal roa.

5. Rokum
Initially, Rokum only wanted to sell milk coffee and snacks, but the trend of nogat bread made Rokum ventured into selling nogat bread as a friend to drink coffee. What makes Rokum’s nogat bread so special is its black bread! Nogat bread here is priced starting at Rp. 26,000. Not only nogat bread, Rokum also offers equally good kane bread.
