The digital era has changed almost everything, from communication methods and banking services to marketing techniques. That's why according to Dominique Turpin, President of IMD Business School, there are 4 main keys to marketing in the digital era. Anything? Check it out below!

1. Focus on customers
This cannot be separated from marketing in any era, you must focus on providing satisfaction to customers. Find out what is needed or the problem of your target market, then provide a product that can solve that problem well and cheaply. After you get customer satisfaction, provide trust and loyalty so that the consumers you have acquired don't just leave.

2. Meet your customers
Meeting customers here means you have to be where your customers are. For example, if you have a clothing business, find out through which social media most customers visit the clothing business website. Is it Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook? If most of them come from Instagram, it's time for you to create an Instagram account for your business. Through Instagram, you can meet directly with your customers to provide new information, or just receive feedback from your customers. Digital marketers must know which social media their customers spend the most time on and meet them there.

3. Let Others Do the Talking
Word of mouth is a way of communicating that can be said to be useful for business people. As a first step, you can provide an experience that certainly satisfies the customer so that the customer can spread the experience they have gained to other people. Of course, these other people will potentially be interested in buying your product or just visiting your site to find out. The point is, if you are just starting, you have to give your best! If you already have a lot of customers, of course, you have to be consistent with your service.

4. Master Your Experience
If you have done the three steps above, it means you have quite extensive experience. Master this experience and continue to follow developments in technology and information that will continue in the future. Keep asking, is your business on track to keep up with the times or does it still need transformation? You decide!
