This destination located within 40 km from Cibubur (Cileungsi – Jonggol) toll exit is an ideal choice to visit with family during this New Year’s Holidays. Penangkaran Rusa Cariu (deer farming) in Desa Buanajaya, Kecamatan Tanjungsari, Bogor open every day starts from 10am to 4pm. This farm will spoil your eyes with green expanse of the forest as a home for various types of deer such as Bawean, Totol, and Timor.
Penangkaran Rusa Cariu also equipped with other supporting facilities travellers need such as camping and outbound area, children play area with swimming pool and amusement rides, selfie spot with colourful hammocks and umbrellas, food stalls, prayer rooms, toilets and spacious parking area.
To get along with deer, it is highly recommended to come here at 10am and between 2 and 4pm. Besides that time, deer usually hide to get some rest. You can feed them from wooden bridge or directly on grassy fields. You are allowed to bring vegetables from home such as sweet potatoes, long beans, carrots or simply buy them on the spot.
While feeding them, no need to be afraid because they are considered as calm herbivorous animal. It is safe to feed them, take selfie even introducing your babies with animals since early. After long day playing with deer, you can visit Cibeet River before heading back home to snap some beautiful pictures.
