Instagram released a new filter and GIFs in order to enliven Ramadan. This is the first time Instagram has launched a Ramadan theme filter that can be used by all users around the world. The filter named "Lantern" was released from May 5 to June 5, 2019.
To use it, open Instagram Stories camera. Then, click the face filter icon. Then select the "Lantern" filter. Hold the camera button to record a video or tap once to take a photo. Users can change the available design by tapping the screen.

Not only that, especially for Instagram users in Indonesia, there is also special edition GIFs Ramadan, which is the collaboration with five Indonesian creators, thepopo, byputy, Dinda Puspitasari, Irfan Nugroho aka bulletos, and Haikal. You can find the GIs by typing "Ramadan" in the GIF search field. Then, you will find several GIFs containing typical Ramadan words such as "Buka", "Sahur" to Lebaran edition words such as "Eid Mubarak" and "Mohon Maaf Lahir Batin."
From recorded data per January until June 2018, Instagram claimed an enhancement in Instagram Stories upload volume during Ramadan in Indonesia. The enhancement also including some popular hashtags related to Ramadan and Eid. The top five tags that are most sought after by Indonesian Instagram users are #bukber, #bajukoko, #gamissyari, #bajulebaran, and #ramadhan.
